Pre-Enrollment Inspections
All Used/Pre-Owned vehicles are required to undergo a Certified Vehicle Inspection prior to formal enrollment. The purpose for the inspection is to certify the true condition and value of the vehicle at the time of enrollment, which will assist in determining an accurate loss in value in case of an accident.
INSPECTION LOCATION
The location of the vehicle inspection is contingent on the address and availability of our inspection company partners at the time a customer makes their reservation.
COST OF INSPECTION
The cost of the inspection is included in the premium. However, if a customer decides NOT to enroll in our program after their vehicle has been inspected they will be billed a one-time ¥25,000 charge for the cost of the inspection.
QUALITY OF INSPECTION
All NCG pre-enrollment inspections are conducted by highly-skilled, reputable and certified Japanese Auto Inspection companies.
DELIVERY OF INSPECTION
Upon completion, all inspection reports are delivered to the customer via email within 24 hours.
EXEMPT FROM INSPECTION
New cars purchased from a licensed auto dealer in Japan are exempt from a pre-enrollment inspection. NCG defines a New vehicle as:
- A vehicle which has less than 50KM, and
- A vehicle that has never been sold to an individual
- A vehicle that was purchased within 30 days prior to enrollment
Post Repair Inspections
As part of the claims settlement process, all vehicles must complete a post repair inspection. This inspection is made by a independent inspection company not affiliated with the body shop that completed the repairs to the accident vehicle. The purpose of this inspection is to ensure the car is safe and to get an overall vehicle condition report in order to determine the post-accident value of the car.
COST OF INSPECTION
The cost of the inspection is included in the premium. There is no out-of-pocket expense for the policyholder.
